CREEKS AND DITCHES

A well made of masonry was found in 1972 during a remodeling of the old San Juan de Dios hospital

In the 19th century, in addition to the Torres and María Aguilar rivers that bounded the town, the heart of the city was traversed by several creeks and irrigation ditches such as Lantisco, Las Pavas, Las Arias and La Chile Perro, which were piped at the beginning of the 20th century. The old maps of the city of San José show their location.
