Use of exhibited collection in storehouses with specific purposes:

The authorization work depends on the kind of lending:

Collection lending to other institutions, national or international, with exhibition purposes:

It is done as a loan, as long as the purposes coincide with the National Museum’s.  The loan is done as a reaffirmation of the agreement, by the Republic’s General Comptroller.

The applications have to be taken to the National Museum’s General Direction, telling the purpose and kind of collections you want to use.  The collections must be ensured by the amount of money stated by the National Museum.

Collection lending for research purposes:

An application should be addressed to the General Director, indicating the purpose (filming, research, thesis, among others), the collections required and an anticipation of the credits that need to be acknowledged to the museum for the lending.  It is important to offer a phone number or an e mail address to keep in touch.

Airport security personnel training:

For over three years, the Cultural Patrimony Protection Department gives training to the airport security personnel once or twice a year and a guided tour in the National Museum.  The lectures give information on the National Archeological Patrimony and the legislation and procedures to be taken in case of object’s confiscation.
